"SHE BIT HER LIP AND TURNED HER HEAD A LITTLE AND LOOKED AT ME ALONG HER EYES. THEN SHE LOWERED HER LASHES UNTIL THEY ALMOST CUDDLED HER CHEEKS AND SLOWLY RAISED THEM AGAIN, LIKE A THEATRE CURTAIN. I WAS TO GET TO KNOW THAT TRICK. THAT WAS SUPPOSE TO MAKE ME ROLL OVER ON MY BACK WITH ALL FOUR PAWS IN THE AIR."

Washington
So once again, I am off to Washington, this time with my lovely boyfriend, eddie, chelsea and my father. I truly love Washington's majestic beauty. When there, I get a sense of what life might have been like a hundred years ago when people lived off the land and respected it, and American Indians were beginning to integrate with white Americans; it seems as if that's still happening to this day.
Being from Los Angeles, Washington isn't really a must see destination to the majority of people who live here. I'm guilty of this myself, but once I went there and experienced it, my soul had found its niche. As a cultured lady (-_-) and my father's daughter, I think it necessary to learn as much as one can about a place and its history so i've decided to post some interesting facts about Washington State, enjoy.
The State of Washington is the only state to be named after a U.S. President
Washington State produces more apples than any other state in the Union
Seattle was the first city in the U.S. to play a Beatles song on the radio
Washington State has more glaciers than the other 47 contiguous states combined
Had the world's first soft serve machine at a Dairy Queen
Washington is the birth place of Jimmy Hendrix and Bing Crosby
Has the oldest operating gas station in the United States.
The forests of the Olympic Peninsula are among the rainiest places in the world and the only rainforests in the continental United States
In Wilbur, Washington it is against the law to ride an ugly horse :]
In Washington it is illegal to pretend that your parents are rich
The first American city to put police on bicycles
FAREWELLLLLLLL UNTIL NEXT WEEK

Latest
It has been a while since I have actually finished a piece of clothing I have been working on but finally, after a month, I managed to kill that streak.
This is my latest creation: a high waisted, front button-down red skirt with faintly white pin stripes. It is exactly what I wanted and it fits like a glove.
Today I will start on a new piece, a backless long sleeve blouse, which I am most excited for, it is also red only because that seems to be the fabric and design that I like most when i'm at the fabric store =D

Cardon Copy
You pretty much have to check this site out. Cardon Copy takes those raggedy advertisements we see everywhere on the streets and redoes them highly designed and then replaces them in the same spot he found the original ad. Some are simple, some are funny some are good but overall its entertaining.
After looking at all of these I thought to myself, "how would I feel if I saw one of these and it was originally mine?" Would i be glad that at least someone has taken the time to read what I have posted, or would I feel like I'm being ridiculed and think what kind of jerk what put so much effort into doing this?
hmm, probably the former but it really does depend on what mine looks like :]

2010
In keeping with the New Year and having fresh starts I have decided to start a new blog. Ideally I would update every other day with new and exciting things that I find or do, because I understand I am a terribly interesting person and you'd all like to know what goes on in my life and mind, hahah, no.
I've decided that my first post should be something I love that is inspirational to me; so i've chosen to go with some Dennis Hopper photographs that are amazingly beautiful. I have the one of Jane Fonda with a bow and arrow stuck to mirror. I look at it everyday as I'm getting ready and it makes me feel like I need to squeeze every ounce of amazing from my day. I hope you enjoy :)
“I was doing something that I thought could have some impact someday. In many ways, it’s really these photographs that kept me going creatively."
