Twas a Lemongrass Kinda Day
Despite the overcast and the fact that you couldn't see 2 feet in front of you, I had a very fun and productive day.
Woke up (late, and its Luigi's fault) and hit up the Pico Festival in Santa Monica. My jewelry teacher was putting on a demonstration at school and I wanted to do some writing on the event. I had some oh so delicious butternut squash soup and some french bread I wouldn't even begin to know how to pronounce, but it was bomb.
After this we headed toward Eagle Rock to check out the Eagle Rock Brewery but we got side tracked when Julienne invited us over to try out her new tobacs for her giant hookah. Chocolate chocolate coins coins. Chilled with the little juniper flower until we had to send her off to work and immediately head to Eagle Rock Brewery.
We reached the address my navigation told us to go and we waiting outside in my car for about 15 minutes trying to decide if this was the right place. "Well there's a lot of white people so I think this is the right place." We strolled in like we knew exactly where we were and what we were doing. (Ultimately, we discovered that was the right tactic to use) We each ordered a pint of their brand new Lemongrass weitbier and it was deliciuossss. We played madlibs for a while, Luigi made me laugh a lot and then we headed out to find some food. I spent the rest of the night eating filipino bread at Jayjay's house which was the perfect ending to my perfect day.

flipXXXcam
So as everyone can apparently see from my last posts I've been making a lot of videos with my brand new flip cam.
I bought it as a birthday gift to myself and I thought, "I'm either gonna use this for everything" or "I'm gonna completely forget about this and it's going to be a waste of a hundred and some dollars," luckily it was the former.
Now, I know there might not be a huge demand for videos of me washing my hands or sitting and watching tv... but I'm going with it. It actually gave me this great idea of taking my camera with me whenever I'm out and doing a little sum up of how my night is going, in the bathroom. hahah Is that completely gross and weird? Maybe. Am I loving my idea? Totally. Do I use "totally" entirely too much in my everyday vocabulary? Totally.
This is either going to be completely brilliant or borderline fetishistic (is that a word?) In any case, I'm doin it! So stay tuned :)

Milla Jovovich's editorial in Los Angeles Times Magazine this month is seriously breath taking. It is so beautiful and elegant and effortless It's Milla, and a screen and amazing lighting.
Check out the photographer, Guy Aroch's other work. You wont regret it.
